Description of the proposal:

Georgia is rich for various decorating and grinding stones, which requires a lot of diamond tools – saws, strips, files, polishing powders and pastes. The technology of production of artificial diamonds exists in Ukraine, Moscow, Yerevan, Dagestan. In our conditions, apart from the main product, it is possible to produce of waste materials three types of grindstones (fine, medium and coarse) and white paint (to produce emulsion and oil paints).

Justification of the proposal:

To produce artificial diamonds, we need row material supply of 104 thousand m3, which will ensure production for 50 years. As for the materials for production of grindstones and paints, the supply should be much bigger. Near the deposit there is an open pit, there is road and electricity. The site is located in 50km from Tbilisi. The open pit needs to be rehabilitated, from Ukraine or Yerevan an autoclave must be brought with its equipment, which costs 0,7 mln USD. It must be installed and technological line must be launched. |

Estimated cost:

The whole investment makes 1,2 mln USD. The period for recovering this amount makes 2 years as from the day of launching. The product will be sold in Georgia and abroad. |
