Production Of Oil Polluted Water Cleaning Sorbent On Basis Of Usage Of Pearlite From The Paravani Ore Deposit (video clip)
Characteristics of the Proposal: |
The project envisages production of effective sorbent of pearlite from Paravani ore deposit and elaboration of methods for studying the possibilities of cleaning the oil polluted soils cleaning methods by means of these sorbents.
|
Justification of the Proposal: |
By now one of the sources of environmental pollution is oil and oil products. Increasing scale of Oil mining, processing and transporting increases the hazard of pollution of seas, oceans, natural and artificial water reservoirs, run-off waters and soils.
Georgia, as the country mining, processing and transporting oil is facing the necessity to solve the above mentioned problem.
The advantage of the presented work is that we will use non-organic sorbent, which has an advantage compared to other sorbents. It will be produced on the basis of cheap and non-scarce local ore through cheap technologies. The project also envisages utilization and regeneration of the mined oil pearlite.
|
Implementation of the proposal: |
Several enterprises are functioning in Georgia, which produce loosened pearlite, mainly for construction purposes (filler for light concrete, inserted floor, etc). For the purpose of implementation of the projet it will be necessary to construct an additional unit in an existing pearlite production plant or any other territory, with favorable conditions for thermal and chemical modification of loosened pearlite.
